It’s a cold Sunday morning as I write this, heading towards home on the train from London. I’ve had a lovely weekend getting back into doing stand up properly after being away doing the play over Christmas. Thanks to all the audiences at both the Comedy Store and Headliners in Chiswick. Belting weekend.
I had a ball doing Zack at the Royal Exchange over Christmas, but still nothing beats doing stand up for me. I love it and I think the break really made me appreciate what stand up means to me, and how hard it is to do when you’ve been poncing around in theatre for 3 months.
I’m popping up here and there doing a few gigs over the next few months, look out for me in your local paper or on teletext or something.
Couple of things to tell you. Firstly I’m not doing the Edinburgh Fringe this year, I’m gutted but I’m so busy with other stuff there isn’t time to do it justice this year. I’ll be popping up though, I’m going to go and watch some stuff for a few days. The rest of the summer I’ll perhaps take the family on holiday, they’ve missed out on Summers for the last few years.
One of the things I’ll be busy doing is recording the Radio 4 series ‘Everyone Quite Likes Justin’ – we did a pilot last year and I’m chuffed we get to do a series. I’ll have the details of the recording dates very soon.
This Autumn I’m on tour, details will be on the diary page of the site, or you can join the mailing list to get a list of dates sent to you. I won’t sell your details to anyone but my mate in Nigeria might need your help with getting some money out of the country.
