I’m literally writing this from my sick-bed. I’ve not been feeling well over the last few days. My voice was going over the weekend and it finally went last night (Monday). I was due to host two heats of the BBC New Comedy Awards at the Comedy Store in Manchester. I could only manage one. Oldham’s lugubrious Mick Ferry stepped in thankfully to do the second. I woke up this morning and it wasn’t any better. I had to ring in sick to Key and cancel my gig at XS Malarkey. I honestly can’t remember the last night I’ve felt too ill to work. I hated doing it, I’ve been to the doctors and they reckon I have a throat infection. I’m on penicillin and I hope to be back on the show soon. Meantime my very good mate Andy Hollingworth has sent me a few shots he took on Sunday at the recordings of Everyone Quite Likes Justin. I think he is a genius.
