I’m writing this in the quiet coach of the 1020 from Euston to Stockport – Sunday morning. I always go for the quiet coach option – bit of relaxation, a couple of hours of headspace. I think I’m going to have to give up it’s not good for my health. No one respects the rules. Nor do they respect a grumpy, overweight, tired comic shouting ‘IT’S THE QUIET COACH YOU IMBECILES’. I’ve tried the other method - doing the sneak up walk, apologetically pulling a concerned face and pointing out delicately that it’s the coach where you aren’t supposed to use your phone. That just makes me look like a prick though. Ahh…I need to get over myself.
Moving on. Canterbury was the final night of my tour last night – much fun. Thanks to everyone who came to the shows, I enjoyed all of them and I hope to see you all soon again. In the meantime I’ve got loads of gigs heading towards Christmas around the North West before I start rehearsals for Two at the Royal Exchange in Manchester – you can buy tickets for that here.
